Travelling with Xeta is different. Staffed by over 400 drivers across London, Xeta’s sophisticated software platform identifies the nearest vehicle, allocates bookings and provides collection within 15 minutes.
Xeta is versatile, reliable, professional. Offering customers a fleet of cabs that are ring fenced to meet their specific needs, Xeta is setting a new standard for personal transportation.
Drivers & Vehicles
Xeta’s fleet of traditional taxi cabs is purpose built for inner city transport and passenger comfort. All vehicles have a 25 ft turning circle to ensure optimum manoeuvrability. Passenger compartments are designed to ensure privacy and all cabs are fully equipped for wheelchair access.
Forming part of London’s transportation network, Xeta’s vehicles enjoy privileged access to bus lanes. Travelling swiftly around the capital, Xeta vehicles are equipped with Satellite Navigation systems, an electronic A to Z and audible speed camera warnings. All cabs are licensed by Transport for London and fares are fully regulated.
Xeta maintains a dedicated Driver Services Centre. The purpose of the centre is to provide the highest standards of vehicle, service and efficiency. Xeta drivers are certified in The Knowledge’ and subject to insurance, health and licence inspections every 3 years.
Meeting The Customer Challenge
Xeta maintains a porfolio of SME, small corporate and individual accounts, taking credit card bookings as required. Management information is second to none. Xeta provides itemised billing as standard, enabling organisations to identify employees who use cars, length of journeys and average waiting times.
Xeta was created to meet the needs of an evolving marketplace and cater for the specific demands of each customer. For example, Xeta’s clients include Government Agencies and Public Sector organisations. In order to protect the special interests of such customers, all drivers not only sign a confidentiality agreement but are subject to a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check which is conducted by an executive agency of The Home Office.
The vast majority of travel takes place between 9am-7pm. However, Xeta appreciates that sensitive projects may demand working outside normal business hours and support services must be available at all times.
Behind The Scenes
Xeta’s state of the art control room is based in Central London and open for business 24 x 7, 365 days per year. Bookings are taken by telephone, fax, e-mail, SMS or via the internet.
At the heart of Xeta sits the Pathfinder software platform. Pathfinder is an automated dispatch system that logs calls and utilises GPRS (Global Positioning) technology to identify the nearest taxi. The platform allocates fares asap 10-15 minutes in advance of collection and enables Xeta’s control room to track the position and status of any vehicle in real time.
Xeta’s Arrival Advice service is designed to ease communication between driver and passenger in crowded areas. At the request of clients, specific elements of the service can also be personalised including driver dress code, air-conditioning, meet & greet, marshalling and event management. In addition, arrangements can be made for national or international journeys on behalf of passengers travelling further afield.
Green Leadership
In March 2005, Radio Taxis Group became the world’s first Carbon Neutral taxi company.
Carbon neutrality is a complex undertaking. Independent assessors determine the emissions produced by each organisation, otherwise known as a Carbon Footprint. Having introduced measures to reduce that figure, Radio Taxis set about completing the process by balancing surplus emissions against ‘offsets’ - e.g. making financial investments in projects that benefit the environment.
For companies seeking to become carbon neutral, the scale of investment in offset ‘credits’ can be prohibitive. By working with Radio Taxis - which has already offset emissions - organisations are not producing a carbon footprint themselves. They have nothing to offset in regard to personal transportation - and no costs are incurred!
Radio Taxis’ approach to emissions has created commercial relationships with many organisations including HSBC, Bank Of England and BNP Paribas. Going green is good for business. Working with Radio Taxis is helping high-profile organisations realise their own environmental objectives.
