Radio Taxis Group Annual Report 2012 has just been published - Despite a further year in which the" Macro economic" climate continued to be sluggish the Group cash position during the year was both solid & positive. Net cash inflow from operations was £1.8m
Various Areas of the business performed well. Especially with the Group's subsidiary One Transport, winning the contract again for a further 5 years to manage all car, taxi and couier services for the BBC on a UK wide national basis.
The Group also won the contract to supply LOCOG with shuttle transport to London2012 Olympic Games. "Ten of thousands of athletes, volunteers, staff and press were moved," said LOCOG "in a most effieicent and professional way."
"The Group made a very small net loss of £38k but the results were very close to breakeven in what was another economically tough year, especially in the corporate market" said Chief Executive Geoffrey Riesel. Turnover grew in the year by 2.4% to £38.6m
Radio Taxis fitted EMV Chip & Pin machines in the bulk of their 2000 strong fleet of London taxis and as a result credit/debit card business, the consumer market, is growing at around 98%
